Joseph James LeVesque Scholarship

This scholarship fund was named after the late distinguished EDU Effective Business School board member, lifelong optimist, great person, lecturer and education expert Dr. Joseph (Joe) LeVesque, who passed away after a short illness on Friday, January 28th, 2022.

Who does the scholarship apply to?

  • Students with minimum of a bachelor's degree, or high school diploma accompanied by 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Parents on maternity leave
  • Unemployed individuals
  • ANY Individuals experiencing an unstable financial situation

How to apply?

1. Application

Fill in the application below and check your email inbox. Fill in the motivation form you find in the received email.

When filling in the forms, make sure to do your best. The scholarship recipients will be chosen based on evaluation of the responses.

2. Selection

Once we receive all the applications, EDU Effective will evaluate the applicants' responses and create a shortlist of scholarship candidates.

The final decision on who will be the scholarship recipients lies in the hands of the Scholarship Fund Contributors Committee.

3. Announcement

We will make a public
announcement of the scholarship recipients and email each applicant their results.

The scholarship recipients will receive further instructions on how to claim the scholarship. Then they can start their studies within 60 days.

Note: If you submit a valid application and won't be granted the scholarship, nothing is yet lost. We will provide you with a discount of 10 %. An application is only valid if the applicant is not currently studying and hasn't studied with us before, and has never participated in the scholarship application process.

Terms and conditions

of the Joseph James LeVesque Scholarship:

  • Each applicant can apply only ONCE. If you already applied in the past, your application will not be valid. 
  • Anyone from any country in the world is eligible to apply.
  • Eligibility Age: Anyone considered an adult by their country's law can apply.
  • If a selected prospective student doesn’t claim their scholarship and fails to enroll within 60 days, the funds will be transferred to the next scholarship period to be used by other applicants.
  • Scholarship application is valid only if the applicant is not enrolled to EDU Effective master's or doctoral courses and is not an EDU Effective graduate.
  • Scholarship applicants must provide true and full information. If they fail to do so, the scholarship will be taken away from the applicant and given to another prospective student.
  • It’s mandatory that every student who is granted the scholarship informs EDU Effective about issues that might affect their studies in any way. To do so, send an email with an explanation of the issue to skillup@edueffective.online.
  • The selection will be compiled on the basis of the materials received and an individual assessment of each application. In cases of a tie (if applicants have the same number of votes), EDU Effective reserves the right to choose the recipient(s) or increase the number of scholarships.
  • EDU Effective has the authority to increase the number of scholarships at any time but cannot decrease it.
  • The shortlist is curated by EDU Effective. It is based on whether applicants meet the entry requirements (i.e., not students, filled out all instructions, and haven't applied in the past). The final vote is conducted by Committee of Scholarship fund contributors.
  • A 10% discount is linked to a valid application (i.e., the person is not a student or graduate at the time of receiving the discount code and has not applied in the past). It cannot be applied retroactively to ongoing payment plans or past payments.

How does it work?

  • EDU Effective collects donations from graduates and alumni, sponsorships and other contributions to a transparent account. 

  • Depending on the amount of collected funds, a minimum of 20 scholarships will be granted every year. The scholarship application release date will be announced on our website and social media.

  • Who can apply? Anyone, whose current financial situation doesn't allow them to pay for the studies, but has a strong motivation to work hard on their personal and professional development.

  • Applicants must complete a two-step application process. The first step includes basic personal information, a LinkedIn link or CV (without motivation). The second step, which includes the motivation, will be emailed to applicants after the successful submission of the first part. Failure to fill in all fields as per instructions will result in the applicant not being shortlisted.

Milestones for offering the Scholarship

  • Our goal is to collect € 10.000 to open scholarships for at least 20 students.
  • We are offering the scholarship when the milestone of € 10.000 is collected.
  • When we collect 100 % of the amount, we open scholarship registration form and select minimum of 10 students whose SPONSOR tuition plan will be 50% covered from Joe James LeVesque Scholarship Fund.
  • The last time scholarships were offered was in spring of 2024
